Out with the old, in with the new!
Well, we now put another year behind us once again. 2011 was quite the year for us around here. I was able to get the Civic Type-R exactly where I had wanted her to be after 2 years of trial and error. I officially succeeded in my goal with the engine setup. And, we managed to bring home a win for the car at Super Street FF Battle! The CTR had quite the year. My passion for my cars and the business officially went global with the double feature in Spain with the CTR and also the debut of my newest obsession, a very red US spec EG hatch with nothing other then a K24 under the hood. Adding to the media frenzy of 2011 was the very first cover for us on Honda Tuning Magazine with the EG as well! I guess you can say the media treated us extremely well in 2011. I couldn’t ask for much more!
Back in May we had a blast competing in FF Battle. This was the third year in a row that we were chosen to compete in the event. This was the second year in a row that we were able to bring the CTR. Since we ran into some issues the year prior, we were given the opportunity to come back and attempt to redeem ourselves. Little did any of us realize that we would end up bring home first place! We once again ran into some problems, this time with the front bumper coming off the car. But, with a little love and a roll or two of duct tape we did it! The few minor changes I made to the engine and the minor things such as the new wing brackets and front splitter proved to be a recipe for success out there at California Speedway. We managed to gain an extra 15 HP by changing out the RBC manifold, BDL fuel rail, and 72mm throttle body to a fresh new Skunk 2 intake manifold, composite fuel rail, and black series 74mm throttle body. The car as it sits now is making a healthy 282WHP. This is exactly what I was shooting for, and is the perfect recipe for the track. I feel that the car has reached the point that I was ultimately looking for. We mainly went back out there to have a great time, and also see how my few modifications to the car would affect our lap times. Oscar Jackson did an outstanding job out there again. OJR is a extremely talented driver and a great person away from the driver’s seat as well. He’s the only one I have been able to trust driving the CTR while I have been sorting out my own injuries that have made it difficult to drive the CTR. My goal for 2012 is to add power steering to the car and hopefully get back out there, now that I am finally feeling confidant enough to drive the car again. But, I think I may need to call my friend OJR to give me some pointers out there!
This year marked one of the best years in media coverage for not only my self personally, but the company. Between our ITR kicking ass all season out at Redline Time Attack, competing again in the Modified Magazine Tuner Shootout, and the 3 magazine features with the CTR and EG, it has been an awesome year for us to showcase all of our hard work around here with all three of the cars. The most surprising one of them all was the magazine feature in Spain. It was very interesting to learn more about the close following of K-series and the cars in the US over in Spain. This article not only showed the other side of the world about the ins and outs of the EG and CTR, but also shed some light on what I have accomplished and how I have fallen into the career that I have. This is quite interesting to those in Spain as a women such as myself is almost unheard of over there. GTI Magazine did a great job with my interview and seeing what this is all about.
The Honda Tuning feature with the EG kind of caught us all a bit off guard. We got the call from the magazine this past summer, and they wanted to shoot ASAP as they had an issue in mind that they wanted to feature the EG in along with another San Diego car. The EG was still a few steps away from being track ready, but we made the best of it and shot the car minus the rollcage, and new tires and wheels. The car still looked awesome, but it didn’t quite have that drag stance that it should, considering this is a drag dedicated car. As soon as we saw the finished project, we were amazed. Matt did a great job shooting the car. This also marked our very first cover believe it or not! This was pretty exciting for all of us. This car not only marks our return to drag racing, but is also a personal project of mine and my longtime friend and partner. This car means a lot more to us then just another project. This feature was one of the best that we have had to date.
2012 looks to be quite the year for us again. We have just signed multiple brand new sponsors for the EG allowing us to finish our turbo setup for the car. Originally this wasn’t going to be possible until late 2012 or 2013, but adding these new sponsors has now made our dreams a reality for this year. I look forward to this more then anything this year. I have to admit; drag racing will always have my heart over any other type of racing. Besides wrapping up the EG, I have decided to move on with the CTR. She will be donating her current heart to something pretty damn awesome and moving onto a new heart of her own. A new N/A K24 heart with more power and more torque then her last one. This is beyond exciting for me as not only am I building something new for the CTR, but we are building something that will be quite shocking to many of you. The only hint for now is that you will be seeing my K20 go into something that is still very new and unexplored. Things will be starting to unfold any day now this month!
Big THANKS to the amazing sponsors that I have been fortunate enough to have by my side! Skunk 2 Racing, Buddy Club USA, Torco, Competition Clutch, Toyo Tires, Hasport, Rywire, and Church Automotive Testing. And, a big thanks to my friends and family!
Tons more to come this year! And, so much that you will actually see me posting more updates on here! Stay tuned!
MIA- a year in the making 2011
Well, it’s been a while to say the least. I have literally been all over the place. 2011 has been quite the year for me. I have traveled the world, seen family and revisited my heritage. I have been working hard to focus on the sales aspect of our company, and generate more business. In order to go out racing and do what we do best, we need to make that money! What I have learned this year is that my personal time is getting more and more limited with business picking up, and having more events on our schedule. Updating my own website has become the last thing on my list of priorities lately, but I am working on making more time for myself. As you all know I have kids. As they are getting older and more independent, things get crazier and crazier. Between running a business and keeping the family happy I am a busy lady! With that said I have to put a lot of my own tasks on the back burner. It’s always a matter of prioritizing, which I myself need to improve. So, here we are over half way through 2011. I’ve got so much going on this year! I am just very thankful for everything that I have going currently. I am excited to start posting more on my personal site again! I have tons of updates to come with what all I have going on right now. Here is a quick glimpse into what’s been happening and what’s to come!

Where have you been??!!
I know, I know. It’s been quite a while since I have updated the blog. I have been all over the place since my last update. I had to kind of put my own blog on the back burner for a bit as I have been through some big life altering changes in the past few months. But, things are finally getting back on schedule around here.
I spent the last 6 years of my life in an industry that wasn’t me. I was very successful, and made great achievements in my career in telecommunications. I also realized it was not my life long career. In the past 10 years I found who I am and what I believe in. I believe the real key to success in your career is having a real passion for what you do. I now feel that I have that passion for the new industry I have fallen into. Life isn’t always just about the money and the spoils. Money only makes you happy for so long before the happiness wears off. I am confidant I made the best choice in life for myself and most importantly my family. Family is the biggest part of my life. Without my children, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. I am very grateful for the amazing friends and family I have surrounding me. In the good times, and the bad. I am terrible at picking up the phone and calling, but I never lose touch of what matters in life. I am stubborn, that’s for damn sure. But, paired with my stubbornness is determination. They go well together when you set your goals high and only settle for what is best. Life is way too short. Live each day as it is always your last! Smile and stop to notice the small things in life. Stay ambitious and on your toes at all times. You never know what each day will bring to the table. What hurts you will only make you stronger. I am a prime example of that.
So, here I am. I am currently still recovering from the aftermath of my car accident in May. The most frustrating part of being injured is the fact that you can’t do what you love. Driving down the street to the store has been difficult, let alone step foot on the track yet. Until I am medication free, I will not be anywhere behind the wheel of the CTR. The car is one of my most prized possessions in life. The bond I have with the car itself is crazy. The memories, the determination, and the struggles are all apart of that car. I trust no one when it comes to driving my car. I treat it as my 4th child. But, someone changed that self-proclaimed rule.
In July we were invited to the Super Street FF Battle. I needed to get someone behind the wheel that I could trust, and that was comfortable in a right hand drive car. Driving backwards is no walk in the park, especially on the track. We had our good friend who happens to be one of the best guys out there on the track come out on his vacation from college. Tim Kuo has been dominating in time attack racing for years now. His schedule has been tight since he is now in med school full-time now. Racing has to be set aside at times. Tim was nice enough to come out for an afternoon out at California Speedway in Fontana for some track time for FF Battle. He did a great job out there especially considering this is his first time behind the wheel of the car, and the event required we run an all season tire on the track. This was definitely an interesting time. Unfortunately Tim’s schedule didn’t allow him to stay for the rest of the event.
Since Tim was headed back to school, we asked our friends Oscar Jackson Jr. and Sr. to come out and join us for the remaining events for FF Battle. Of course my first instinct is to be protective of my precious car, but that feeling subsided quickly. When I saw the look on Oscar Jr.’s face when he first sat in the car, I saw the same expression that I see in the mirror when hoping into the car. Jr. professed his long time love for the EK9 Civic Type R. To see Oscar’s feelings about the CTR was pretty cool, especially coming from such a strong Honda oriented family. Immediately, I felt that I found the right person to trust with my car for the time that I’m unable to drive. The Super Street FF Battle is just the beginning. For, 2010 we still have 3 more track events scheduled for the car, and a very full 2011 season of racing. Be sure to follow us for the next few events. Up next is Super Lap Battle at Buttonwillow, and Redline Time Attack at Fontana. Both are in November.
Sneak peek at Super Street’s FF Battle. The full article should be coming out soon

Getting ready to head back out at the track next month!
It’s been a very interesting past year, but I’m super excited to finish the year out strong, and get ready for next season!
Import Alliance 2010
What a week! The randomness headed East last week for Import Alliance in Nashville. This year I decided to skip Spocom in Long Beach and do something different. I have always heard all the talk of how big IA was. There was all the talk on the web about how this event compares to our meets on the west coast, and it’s was quite funny how people went back and forth about whose events are better, bla, bla, bla. Many people on the west made big promises to go out there “big” and do this , and do that. I was pretty disappointed, not in the event but in how many people made broken promises to bring their cars out there from the west, and didn’t. Guess the trek out to the east wasn’t worth their time. I think there were less than 10 of us west coast strangers there this year, and most of us didn’t bring our cars. But, hey we never made any promises to bring cars this year. At least we randomly showed up!
The first day out in Nashville all of us from the west went downtown to see what Nashville was all about. We walked a lot, and learned that the humidity there is insane! Followed by being super hot and humid, the rain made an appearance leaving us all wet and sweaty. I am not a big country music fan personally, so I felt a bit out-of-place there. But, I managed to see from cool stuff downtown and have a good time.
Batman is was here!
Crazy looking arena!
A must see in Nashville.
BBQ just isn’t the same in the west!
One big record store!
Out of all the pictures, we managed to forget the Waffle House! Man, that place has my heart! I think I ate at least 6 waffles while I was there! Food was defiantly a highlight of the trip, besides their idea of mexican food. Man it was bad!
On to the good stuff! I was overwhelmed by how many people came out for Import Alliance! The place was packed top to bottom. Some of you might sit here and talk shit about some of the cars that showed up, yes it is different there. But, hey I give props to all these people driving so damn far to be there! I even saw people on doughnuts with cars that barely made it there. But, hey at least they made it. I have yet to see any events here draw this many people, and not for one day but two! These are some dedicated people! The biggest difference I saw there was that almost everyone is respectful. Even if they don’t get along or like your car, or whatever everyone is very respectful of one another. There was not the animosity in the air that there is back home at events. It was nice to see some many diverse people in one spot enjoying an event with little drama. I was happy to meet many people at the event for the first time. I don’t consider myself any different than anyone else, yet met quite a few people who loved my build of the CTR, and follow my blog. It is always nice to meet people who really admire all the hard work it takes to get stuff done. This was a great time, and many of you really missed out big time! Next year’s event will be sure to be yet another great time. I look forward to shipping my car out there next year.
And for the pics! Enough from me. There are tons of pics, so for more be sure to check out the remaining pics on my fan page on Facebook. I will let the pics say it all for themselves. Enjoy!
Stunna Ben finally brought out his beast!
Another NH-0 real deal CTR.. She was all pretty, basically stock yet beautiful! Can I have her?!
Look closely!
A lot of cars!
Ben’s trunk became our lounge!
Some Skunk2 love in the BH’s bay! Check out the little girl snapping a pic of his pretty purple wheels!
Great view from the top late afternoon after hundreds already left. Crazy!
Couldn’t forget this car! I love it! I need a Spoon front now for mine thanks to this car! I’m in love!
Off we went back to town, with a minor stop in the middle of nowhere to get gas in the gas guzzling Hummer Stunna Ben was driving us around in!
I am really glad I went out there. Coming home was quite the journey as I was stuck in Atlanta for an extra day with lost luggage thanks to Delta making me miss my connecting flight home, but the trip was worth all the craziness!
Next up this month is Super Street’s FF Battle! The car is coming out of hibernation for the event. Stay tuned for more details!
So close, no matter how far..we live it our way.. Forever trusting who we are .. Nothing else matters..
In order to succeed and have realistic goals you have to set your expectations for what those goals will bring to the table. The things that have always been a big part of my success in setting goals are ambition, determination, my imagination, and my love of life itself. I recently went through a time when I let my guard down. All those things that have taken me as far as they have faded away. It was time to take a long hard look at life and the great things that have come along with it. We all have times when we want to quit, times when the future looks grim, times when we just don’t want to go on. But, then we wake up and realize what is in front of us.
In the past year I finally finished one of my goals. I got my car done and did it the way I wanted to do it. Not how everyone else wanted me to do it. And, I built a car with a completely different purpose then any car I ever built before. Building the CTR taught me a lot of things. And, I built it during a pretty tough time in my life. The car was an escape from reality for me. It kept me motivated and on my toes. Looking at the car every day is a constant reminder that I can do it! I can do anything I set my mind to in life, and nothing and no one will ever stop me.
But, what is next for me? Many things are in store for me in the next year. There are many changes to come, good and bad. Part of getting what you want is battling through the bad to get to the good things in life. I am going to take a step back, and go back to the beginning. I was once a young kid standing on the side of the quarter mile with a smurk on their face. I knew what I wanted that first time I saw the pavement in person. That goal was never fully achieved. I will build another car. Can you guess what its purpose will be? I think that one sweet spot that was put on the back burner in this industry lately is drag racing. I think almost every person that I have become aquatinted with in the industry started at that very place that has temporarily been forgotten. Eyes all focused to others ventures in racing lately, and sadly any good events are hard to come by. Will it make a comeback anytime soon? I think so! I don’t think I’m the only one who wants to go back to the beginning of this culture that has now been created. This is the time where I go to the drawing boards and get what I want organized. The first step in ever getting what you want is trying.
The annual Eibach meet 2010 came and went!
It’s been a little over a month since I have updated everyone. I have been doing a lot during this time to get back to normal. I don’t think I ever realized what pain this accident caused me. Mentally and physically. I am on my way back to my usual madness soon.
The past month marked the annual all Honda meet at Eibach. This has always been more about seeing the friends and family I have that all come together from all places in the county at the same place every year. I drug my ass out there even though I could barely drive my own car thanks to my arm injury from my car accident. I struggled just to put my car in reverse and park it neatly inside the parking lot for the meet. I spent most of the day with the guys at the BDL Industries booth just laying low in the shade enjoying the day. I think the only time I moved was when Brandon from Skunk2 managed to track me down for a quick interview for a video he was working on for them. I realized that day, I took for granted that I could just jump in the car anytime for one of the meets and have a good time with out a worry in the world. This time around I paid the price. I left the meet that day in pain from the drive there. The very thing I love the most was painful. So much for taking a random drive to relieve my stress!
I didn’t take any photos as usual, so I have a few from the friends that were nice enough to send them my way. Thanks guys!
And, be sure to check out the video of the “Elite” from Skunk2 at the Eibach meet: http://cms.skunk2.com/id/479/The-Honda-Elite-Video-Inside/
Where in the world is Jade?
Well, well, well. I am alive and well. For the most part. The past month or so has been a lesson! During a daily commute to work I was involved in an accident in my S2000. Luckly, I am still here to tell the story and was very lucky to walk away with minor injuries that will heal in the months to come. This accident was a big wake up call for me. It has caused me to stop what I do every day, and focus on recovering and resting my mind and body. Doing the small random things I do daily has become difficult. I am now just appreciative seeing my amazing family I have smiling everyday. I have to take a break from everything for as long as it takes to get better. If I can get my ass in my car safely without pain and discomfort, I WILL make it for the annual Eibach meet. Until then I am determined to get better and get back to doing what I love ! Thank You to all the friends, and family that continue to be here for me each and every day!
one of my all time fav’ shots! (Photo from Honda Tuning Magazine ’10 by Ben Howard)
Wek’ Fest ’10 was a success for all!
Well, we did it! With over 20 hours of driving time under our belts this weekend, we managed to pull it off! The long rain filled drive was definitely worth it! This weekend marked Wek’ Fest 2010 in Japantown in San Francisco. I have always loved this lime green colored underground garage that is filled neatly with some of the best cars around! This year seemed to be more VIP filled than import, particularly Honda oriented as it had been in the past. Neverless, it was still great. With what I heard over 20,000 people attended and I believe it! It was crazy in there! This year was most special to me with my feature finally out in Honda Tuning Magazine and I got to catch up with my Dad and brother at the show! I couldn’t have asked for more! Thanks for everyone for all their kind words and props this weekend! It was great to meet everyone! Thanks to Loi and Sportcarmotion for making the long drive and transport of the CTR from So Cal to Nor Cal!!
My Dad and Brother!
Off to celebrate after Wek Fest with the family and friends!
Rollin’ to SF… Wek’ Fest ’10
Well, time has passed quickly and it’s time to make the 11 hour trek up North to SF for the annual Wek’Fest event. Last minute changes and cleaning are happening today in prep for the Sunday show. I had some new shirts made for the show, but not sure if I am 100% happy with the design. I will not be selling them just yet, but please stop by the booth and take a look at the test shirts , I wont be too hard to miss as I will be rocking my own version of my ”I love haters” Tee, and say hello! See you all there!
A long time coming….Honda Tuning Magazine April 2010
I can remember the days as a teenager reading all the automotive magazines. I knew back then one day I would be taken seriously, and perhaps see one of my own in one of these publications . It was never a goal to build a “show car” or a “cover car”… It was my goal to do what I do best, do what I enjoy, what makes me happy, and what keeps me motivated and do it better than the rest. I was always the “girl trying to play with the boys”.. I was doubted, I was clowned, and I was made fun of growing up at times. Why? It started back in elementary school, I played kickball with the boys and hung out and had a good time with them. I was “accepted”. What was weird about me, was I wasn’t at all your typical “tomboy” as people may call it. I had long blonde hair, manicured nails, and always dressed nicely. I was a spoiled girl, still am to this day. I like my luxury shit. I didn’t care if I broke a nail or tore my designer jeans. It was all for fun, and to be happy! The girls hated me growing up, many still do. I had the best of both worlds. I never once let that get to my head, or used it to my advantage. I have always been into all this for myself. Over the years the kickball court turned into full-blown street racing, and eventually to the track. Life has had its ups and downs, but im still here doing what I do! I am so greatful for what life has given me, and for the great friends and family I have around me. I thank everyone here today thats been here from the very beginning. Thank you!
This is by far a great article by Joey Lee (stickydiljoe.com) and a great set of photos by Stunna Ben Howard! Be sure to support the magazine, and grab the newest issue on stands next week!
Real Housewives….
The nice thing about having your own site is watching the stats and where everyone is coming from. The best are the other blogs out there that hav something fun or interesting to say! This one caught my eye and gave me a good laugh, and in a good way. This is a very true thing. Many women in the “game” as some of you call it are underespected. We to bust our asses for what we have and spend countless hours on our cars too.
Be sure to check it out guys: http://ra64freddy.wordpress.com/2010/02/11/real-housewifes/
“Times have changed..
Women work, some make more money than their husbands, popping kids out every year, and there are those who even help out with swapping tires equipped with white TE37’s on a Trueno:
“Thats your BF’s car right??”
I give props to all the women around me; we take them for granted, and girls that know their shit around a car like CarGirl & K20Jade, who bust their ass and never get the credit for the hard work..deserve it.
Big Ups to those women making that $$ & and wrenching at night/weekends..
*No Homo.”
Thanks again for the shout out Freddy!
I’m just going to keep it stock…not…
I am sure many of you guys have said this as you’re taking your new daily driver home off the lot.. I will just keep it stock, it’s just a daily… Bla Bla Bla.. That’s what I said 2 weeks ago when I took my long-awaited AP1 home. I said goodbye to the worst car by far that I have owned. The BMW was just not for me. I can sit here and bash on it, but you guys know the drill with Beemers! I have been itching for an S2000 for a realllllly long time. I decided it was time! I had my eyes set on an AP1, and found an offer I couldn’t refuse! Please give a warm welcome to Lila. She will be joining my CTR Jade in the garage from now on!As I left the dealer, I told myself I was going to leave this car alone and just enjoy it in its stock form for once. In the past this never lasted long! So, here I am! Two weeks into this relationship with Lila, I am selecting suspension, wheels, and some minor bolt-ons! Wheels are on their way..something from Volk is all I will say at this point, and the rest is falling into place.
Welcome Lila! This will probably be the only picture I will post of her in her post operative state. ***WARNING IPHONE PICTURE!
Prepping for SF Wek’ Fest ’10 and testing!
Wel’ Fest is only a few weeks away and approaching us quickly! This year is for sure the biggest year ever that I seen in a long time! The time is ticking and time for a few changes before the show!
Testing for this month has been rescheduled for March, so I can focus on cleaning up the car and re-tuning the car with the new manifold from Skunk2! Thanks again to Tony and the crew at Skunk2 for their support with the car! More goodies for the car!
See you all in 2 weeks in SF!! Be sure to stop by the Sportcarmotion booth and check out the car!!
The Year of Randomness continues!
Well, it’s been a year of this randomness! I never expected this site to be as viewed as it has been. I wanted to show the world the story of my build and my ambition away from the forums. I was never big into sitting behind a computer and talking shit to a bunch of 17-year-old boys that think they are all professional drivers and such. So, when it came to posting my build I wanted a place that was mine and I could voice my perception uninterrupted to the entire world. Don’t get me wrong, I posted on the forums and wanted to share all my hard work, but it just isn’t the same anymore. I see it as part of moving on in life as you get older. You just don’t care about a bunch of random strangers on the internet anymore approving of your car and what you have made of it anymore. Well, I was always the different one. I never cared what anyone thought. So, here I am. I am still here! And, the journey is just beginning! Last year had its ups and downs, and there is still a lot of testing and track time to come with the car this season.
Thanks so much to all of you out there worldwide that keep reading and staying up to date with my randomness! I have seen a outpoor of readers from overseas recently. I am glad that my life long project keeps you occupied!
Be sure to become a fan on Facebook of the site!! It’s finally up!!
Happy New Year!
the randomness will be joining the Sportcar Motion booth for SF Wek’Fest 2010
I can remember the beginning of what used to be called J’s Gathering. This is a great show where you could always go check out the non-riced out/non-HIN style cars when those type of shows were at their prime. Over the years this show has always kept up to its reputation. There’s been some changes of course to the organization in the past few years, but it has remained what it’s all about. Not only is this a great show, but a great venue! Japantown has always had a special place in my heart! Be sure to check this out this year especially if you have never been before. Be sure to stop by and check out the CTR at the Sportcar Motion booth February 28th!
This is a big weekend personally for me as my main inspiration over the years in cars was my Dad. He is the one who got me out in the garage when I was barely walking. I have not seen him in a very long time, and he will be making a special trip down to San Francisco just to see the car that is my pride and joy! I am very thankful for what I have, and I can’t go on without thanking the people who have made me who I am today. This show is dedicated to the person who helped create me, and always make me strive for the very best in life and no less.
Jade makes the list… 2009 Honors of The Chronicles- stickydiljoe.com
Many people have started blogs in the past few years in the world of cars we choose to live in. Many are good. Many are bullshit. Many are a rip off of others hard work. Many are unique. Even I started a blog in 2009! There is one site that comes to mind when thinking about blogs and honest relatable articles. My friend Joey has proven that time and time again! His taste for quality legit cars is a breath of fresh air compared to many other sites and their glamour. It’s the perfect mix of all-purpose built cars, wither it’s for show or track. The CTR wasn’t in the top 10, mainly probably due to the fact that I have been MIA for months and yet to hit the track. But, I did make the Honors list for 2009! Thanks to Joey and his support of my build this year and for keeping it real over at the Chronicles! Be sure to check it out, and if you’re not already keeping up daily with his site, start! http://stickydiljoe.com/2010/01/05/2009-honors-part-1/
Randomness leads to filming a commercial for Honda
You never know where the randomness will lead you. A few weeks before Christmas I got a call from some guy contacting me to arrange my car for some sort of appearance in a Honda commercial. At first thought I thought it was some weird setup by cops to bust people or something, so I blew it off. Then multiple friends and sponsors got the same phone call about finding me and using the car. I thought this was pretty funny! So, after confirming this was indeed legit and not some crazy setup I made my way up to Torrance for the filming. I had no idea what I was getting into! After I froze my ass off for over 10 hours I was done, and made a few bucks! Not bad at Christmas time! I luckily ran into some friends during my hours of freezing in the night. I wasn’t sure if cameras were allowed, so I left my camera at home. Thanks to my friend Mike, I got a few pictures of this very random event!
About to punch the “stranger” with a camera too close for comfort, but then realized it was just my friend Mike! The look says it all!
Stay tuned, maybe we will spot my car in the commercial soon??
Happy Holidays from Jade!
Holidays bring out the joy, the happiness, the lonely, the sad, the emotions of all of us. Holidays are some of the happiest times for some, but the difficult and the sad for some. The holidays have a different meaning to each individual person. This year I wanted to have some Christmas photos done that represent who we are as a family. Thses pictures show who we are. We are one. Cars have always been a very big part of my life, and has passed on to the 4 of us. I wish everyone the very best for the holidays.
Much more to come in 2010 for the car and I! Can’t wait!
Until next time! Enjoy!
Girls.. Girls.. Girls… Girls with hot rides
Today, I turned my Blackberry on to be flooded with a bunch of random E-mails about the blog. This is definitely not a daily occasion for me and the blog to have a huge amount of “fan” messages. Most words are sent on the site in the comments. After reading the first few messages I realized that another fellow blogger had a pretty cool topic for the day, Girls with hot rides. Thanks to the stats of my site, I was able to check it out first hand. I enjoyed checking out a new blog, and a blog from Toronto too! My beloved CTR was one of these hot rides. Thanks for the love guys! It was cool to see the random mix of cars too chosen for this topic. Be sure to check out this site, definitely a cool blog to follow. http://www.stanceiseverything.com/2009/10/theme-tuesdays-girls-with-hot-ride/
Thanks again to everyone who enjoys the car and my randomness! I appreciate all the kind words and support. And, to all the ladies out there doing it big and trying to play with the big boys, keep at it!! Thanks for the love! A funny quote I love, “If I had balls, they would be bigger then yours” LOL! No one ever said cars are just for boys! Thanks again everyone!
Commited…..
Someone wise told me when you are burnt out, walk away for a bit and take a break, Don’t give up.. I have learned that taking a break and just leaving the car alone for a bit makes me appreciate it even more than I already do. It’s been an interesting year for me this year. Many big changes and new beginnings, which I love but this year has left me tired! I have been laying low just doing what I need to do for the past month. Even the people close to me in life ask, what’s wrong with you? Yeah, it’s not like me to just mind my own and stay away from the track and the fun, but I took some time for myself. I have found a new reason to be happy, and I am refreshed!
On Friday, I went and gassed up the CTR with my usual 111 octane, who says you have to run pump gas on the freeway?! I had my day set out on visiting some of the people who have been supporting me and the R during this year for some photos, and chit chat. First stop, Skunk 2. Then, a visit to BDL up in the OC. Unfortunately, I had to cut the day short since I had to rescue my Mom and a WRX with a dead ass battery. I had to reschedule for next week with the guys at Skunk.
Later in the evening I stopped by to see my friends at BDL. They are hard at work over there with the new catalog, and snapped a few pics of the car and I. During the shoot in the dark, we managed to have a few stalkers stop by. God knows how they know we’re out there! A guy stops quickly in his primered EG with absolutely no exhaust. I see him walking quickly in the dark toward us, I begin to sigh.. “man here we go again… why, why the weirdos? Does anyone have any manners anymore…?” As he gets closer, I realise he is a kid! He probably isnt even old enough to drive his car! He comes over and his mouth is wide open! He doesn’t even know what to say! I try to make it less awkward and I start asking him about his car.. He still couldnt even say much, he was in love! He didn’t even realize at this point that it’s real. He is giving me propos for my clean conversion. Of course I told him it’s real, i’m too nice. Then this kid is even more speechless.. We talked for a few minutes about his car, and how his last car got jacked, and how shitty the world is these days with things getting stolen. He seemed happy that I even talked to him. He told me how he’s going to save all his money and buy himself a CTR. I love that! This kid had his whole life of owning a Honda planned out. He had to have been 15 years old! I can remember being that 15-year-old kid myself, looking at cars out at the street races, planning out what my “dream” car setup would be. It’s not a bad thing to have hopes and dreams, because thats how you set goals and get what you want. I can remember some of the assholes I met back in the day. You ask them anything about their cars, theyre too busy soaking up their ego trip to even give a shit. I like talking to the people out there that appreciate what I have. I was in their shoes at one time, and I set my goals and I knew what I wanted. I got it, why? Because I was determined.
Here are some teasers thanks to Nick over at BDL industries, be sure to check out their website. They now have a fan page up on Facebook also!

farewell to my baby…onto new things
Today I felt like someone stole my puppy. I felt like I did when I left home for the first time, and you can’t help to look back and say wow, this is a little scary. I said goodbye to my Integra. This DB started as my daily driver about 2 years ago. I love the car almost as much as my CTR! I looked for months for the ideal DB! I went all over CA and online for a very long time until I stumbled upon this unicorn on none other the NWP4LIFE forum. I found this unicorn in West Virginia of all places! My baby made a 3 day trek on a transport to So Cal when I got her. It was here in record time and in great condition! Never did I think I would ever sell it! But, I did! When I am not busy in randomness, I have a “real” job that basically requires me to act like a grown up, dress well, and smooze with large corporate companies and their CEOs, CFOs, etc…. So, pretty much the DB is out! No CEOs would want to sit in my mint ITR rear seat! So, long long story short I am now officially a BMW owner. I now fit in with 80% of my parking lot at work! It is pretty funny these days!
Goodbye to my love! Bye Bye DB…Hello BMW….arughh….

Eibach Summer more like fall evening ’09…
It was that time again to visit Corona for the Eibach evening event.. This one is always fun because its not just limited to Hondas like the normal annual meet is.. I arrived a bit late to the meet, so I had to make the awkward drive through a bunch of standing people.. I survived, or so I thought.. I quickly popped the hood and tried not to stand even close to the car as it was a sausage fest around my car! I love the support, and fans of my build dont get me wrong but it was kind of crazy. It was the first time I was uncomfortable in my own shoes.. After a few hours of questions, friends, and some stalkers I was ready to go! I made a quick exit out at about 7:45 and called it a night. Sorry!
Thanks to the NWP boys for saving me a great spot! Ryan, Matt, Jerm, and the rest of the bunch.. Thanks!
Thank you to all the followers of my blog and my build this year, I really appreciate it! This past year has been one to remember!
I managed to gather a few pictures I liked from friends and fellow bloggers. Thanks again guys!

Stole these 2 shots from some ricer named The Tea Father.. Thanks!!

Check out this blog, the pictures are great! timscribbles.com

That’s about it for now boys and girls.. Up next is some track testing hopefully very soon!
It’s that time again… Summer Nights at Eibach..
Yup, it’s the time yet again for one of my favorite meets of the year here in So Cal.. Summer Nights at Eibach are always fun!Its less heat being in the evening, and is a bit more enjoyable then the usual daytime meet there. Not only do you have the usual Honda crowd here, but you have the others there too.. All makes and models.. Be sure to come and check it out, bring your car, invite your friends, family, and stalkers! Be sure to share the fancy flyer made by the infamous Joey Lee (stickydiljoe.com), and whore it out!!
See you guys there!

Mega Matsuri… was it so mega??
Last weekend was the first Mega Matsuri event in downtown LA, same spot as Nisei as you all know. The event was a great idea, and seemed to be going well. The crowd was a bit small and there was still some more room for more cars, but hey it was the first year! I think this will grow into a great show as it continues. It was great to see all the homies, and meet some new ones! Ryan from Rywire was down with his booth him and Big Mike managed to get together quickly, CTR was on display with the booth for the day.

Be sure to go check out The Chronicles coverage, stole a pic!! Thanks to Joey and his always awesome blog!! www.stickydiljoe.com
